Kendra Thorington, MA, LPC, MAC, EdS, DOT SAP

Kendra is a psychotherapist and licensed in the states of Michigan and Georgia. She treats clients from the age of 16 and up for both outpatient mental health and substance use disorders.  She has over 19 years experience as an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) representative at Stellantis/Chrysler. There, she was responsible for providing referrals, resources, training, and advocacy for nearly 8,000 employees. Currently, she provides both onsite counseling services and behavioral health consultations to organizations. 

Although she treats conditions, such as anxiety, depression, and grief, she is passionate about assisting clients that are consumed by trauma. Some of the modalities used to treat in these areas are Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Brainspotting. 

Kendra’s other certifications increase her knowledge and capabilities to assist clients. They include:

* DOT Substance Abuse Professional (SAP)

* Master Addiction Counselor (MAC)

* Gambling Disorders 

* Civil and Domestic Mediator. 

Aside from being a helping professional, Kendra enjoys listening to live music and traveling.
